The Cornerstone Vision is to establish a Contemporary, Regional Church that will minister to the whole person, a Positive Church that will use every available means to win others to Jesus Christ, and to build up the believer with an emphasis on Church Planting.
Purpose The Purpose of Cornerstone Church is to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
Brief History Cornerstone began in Plano Texas in 1990. The first worship service was held on January 13, 1991 in a local Elementary School. Times of study were also held in the pastor’s home. The foundation was simple, the Cornerstone Himself; Jesus Christ. We sought, and seek to follow Christ’s blueprint for the church found in the Great Commandments and Great Commission. Cornerstone has always sought to be like the church found in Acts Chapter 2 of the Bible.
Cornerstone began with only three members, but God has been faithful in building His church; adding consistently to the number of persons being touched by Christ’s love. Through the purposes of Worship, Evangelism, Learning, and Loving we have seen God work many miracles over the years and continue to show Himself faithful. God has continually shown us that He wants to move in new and fresh ways.
